What is your favorite street food dish?
One of my favorite street food dishes has to be tacos al pastor. Originating from Mexico, these delicious tacos are made with marinated pork that's cooked on a vertical spit, similar to shawarma. The meat is seasoned with a blend of spices, including achiote, and often includes pineapple, which adds a sweet and tangy flavor.
What I love most about tacos al pastor is the way they're served. The warm corn tortillas are filled with the juicy, flavorful pork, topped with fresh cilantro, diced onions, and a squeeze of lime. Sometimes, a spicy salsa is added for an extra kick.
Street vendors often serve them right off the grill, and the atmosphere is vibrant and lively, making the experience even more enjoyable. Eating tacos al pastor feels like a celebration of flavors and culture, and it's a dish that brings people together. Whether enjoyed at a bustling market or a late-night food stand, they never fail to satisfy my cravings.
